  • Nerm, I agree with almost everything you've said. The only fly in the ointment is that we have no real basis for economic growth. I do not think that we can simply spend our way into prosperity, whether that spending is private or governmental.

  • The base model S has a range of about 160 miles and will sell for $50,000 which is not bad at all. However, the 300 mile version will cost around $100,000. Give 'em 5 years or so and that version will be in the $50,000 ballpark, too. That's when I will buy one.

  • I have been a Republican for 50 years. Today's party is nothing like it was even 20 years ago. There used to be a bunch of Senators like Lugar who voted their consciences and were willing to compromise for the overall good of the country.
